I am an Abolitionist
My family is abolitionists in 1855, and I am home in bed, all of a sudden I hear a knocking on the door. Then I hear singing, it sounds like Harriett Tubman. She is the Moses of slaving slaves. She had just asked my dad if it was safe to stay for a night or two, to get some sleep and eat some hot food. Dad says yes. I have 9 slaves in my house now. The Underground Railroad is not a railroad, and it is not underground. It is named that because it is a secret route for the escaping slaves from the south. It was lead by Harriett Tubman, yes a very brave woman. She escaped from being a slave in 1849, but then came back to save other slaves. So they would have a taste of freedom too

My Modern Day Hero!
Yes, I do believe there is still hero's in this world. Who is over there in Iraq, Baghdad, Afghanistan, Iran, and those other countries, yeah that's right our soldiers fighting for our freedom from other countries. My own heroin is my mom, she has helped me with anything. She has helped me through a lot of stuff even though I'm only (the age I am). If I have school problems, she helps me. If I have boyfriend problems, she is there to help. If I have questions she is there to answer them. I'm glad my mom is so loving. If not then I wouldn't be the way I am today at this moment. Even though I sometimes think she is over protective, I still under stand why she says no. If it was my daughter i would say the same thing, for that same reason. She won't let me go anywhere and everywhere, and I adore her for that because if I would go everywhere and do everything I would have no idea what to think. I do think my mom is a wonderful parent, and there is nothing I would change about her. I love my mom so much!
What are the qualitites of a hero?
Qualities of a hero are doing something for someone, doing something for ones country/state/county and or so one. My hero from the Fort Henry battle is Elizabeth Zane. She risked her life to run through the field of battle to get some more gunpowder when the supply in the fort ran low. She volunteered because the gunpowder was in her brother Ebenezer's house. No, she wasn't just picked out of a crowd to run over, she volunteered as well as her siblings volunnteered her to. The other fort was only 60 yards away. So, why didn't anyone else want to run just 60 yards away to another fort? The indians didn't fire when she went over because they thought she wasn't a threat, but it was very different on her way back. The indians figured out exactly what she was doing, so the indians started to fire. One bullet wissed by her head, nearly missing her. When she arrived back at Fort Henry she was amazed that not one bullet hit her, except one that went right through her skirt. That is why she is my American Revolutionary war hero.

What does Sam Pringle do?
Well in the first place Sam and John Pringle, are two soldiers that ran from the war. They settled in a sycamore tree that had been carved out. They lived there for 3 years. One day John and Sam ran out of ammunition, therefor sending John back to Virginia, and leaving Sam alone. John gets to Virginia safely, and finds out that the war was over! (This brings me here, to write about Sam.) I think that Sam Pringle did alot when John was away, for the 3 months to Virginia and back. He married an Indian named Shasha (meaning moon). She had been against the French & Indian War, but she always fell for the British soldiers. She had always thought they had been so adorable. She met Sam, when she was walking in the woods, and Sam had been getting ready to go out to hunt, for his dinner. As soon as he lied eyes on her, he thought he had fell in love, (same with her). They talked for hours, back and forth. Then finally they married. John soon came back. He was so jealous of Sam because he already had a wife, beautiful at that. Besides the point John had brought back alot of settlers, causing everybody to build cabins for their families. John then found an Indian wife named Suhaila (meaning moonshine). When John got married, Sam already had 2 children. They also built different log cabins to keep their families warm and cozy. Well thats my history/fiction story!

What I think about Blogging!
I think blogging is pretty cool. You get to express your thoughts about yourself or your assignments. At first I thought blogging was something geeks do. Then the day that Mz. Mac said that we were going to be blogging on google. I thought to myself "how retarded is this. Blogging is for geeks." Well I must be a geek, and everybody in the 8th grade must be a geek, and Mz.Mac must be a geek, because we are all blogging. Now I think blogging is pretty cool!
Proclamation of 1763
Dear King George III,
I am a veteran of the French and Indian War. You should forget that stupid proclamation you have made up! We deserve to have that land. You can't keep us from living on it. I want to live in the west part. If you were the opposite, you were the veteran, you fought for that land. You want to live on the land you fought for! I wouldn't blaim you for wanting to live on the land you fought for your country. So please fell for us veterans wanting to live on the west land. Please just let us live on that land! Forget that stupid Proclamation!

I am a British soldier in the French and Indian War!
Hey mom,
I am a British soldier as you already know. I am dying because I got wounded in the war. I was in the line of battle and got shot in my shoulder, I busted a heart artery. To pile on that our militia doesn't have enough food source, therefor making some of us to starve. Right now I am eating a small piece of stale bread, and a little bowl of soup. I am drinking water. Meanwhile, yes, I think we could win the war. Only if George would actually learn something. We can't if we keep up the ammunition we have now. Can you get the king to send us more? If not then we are over powered with the ammunition. After the war I am planning on staying in the Ohio Valley (if we win). I will stay and raise a family, only if i survive my wounds, and if we win. Life is not the good in our forts. When it rains the roof leeks, alot of mud gets in, and rats eat the food supply we have therefor leaving us not that much. The Indians tried to kill George W. Thank God they missed. If they would have hit him he would have died, then we wouldn't have a general. I really don't like the Indians, and I don't trust them either. I try to tell everybody to never talk to them if they get the chance but alot of them do, while they talk to them they give them hints about our battling stratigies. Mom, I love you and tell dad that I am doing him proud!
